The method "Information Extraction":

WHAT IS THIS?

Information Extraction is the task of obtaining structured information from unstructured data or text.

WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?

Computer algorithms can deal with structured data much more precisely, efficiently, and flexibly than with unstructured data.

WHERE HAVE WE APPLIED IT?

We are investigating fundamental research questions on distributing and parallellizing information extraction tasks.
